3D Boxing Gym

Before I started setting up the cameras within the scene I knew above all else I definitely needed a shot that could capture the spotlights on my ring. After ages of constant tweaking I believe I finally got it right with this shot as not only does it capture the ring fully, it also poses as a great semi-close up on one of the spotlights, showing it’s titanium-like texture greatly in all it’s light. Thankfully enough the shot also did a decent job at showing the subtle blood stains on the mat of the ring, and although its not incredibly visible I do actually believe this helps provide the further realism of the texturing on my ring, reflecting on the further realism of my shot on a whole.

This may be my favourite image of the bunch because of how well I believed the texturing turned out, especially on the foreground objects which needed to be the case as that’s where it would be most noticeable. The texturing of the wood on the dumbell rack looks extremely realistic to my eyes, and the texturing on the lower dumbbells have a lovely, shiny gleam to them which I thought made them look realistic and also very sleak. But perhaps most importantly allowed the dumbbells to stand out beyond anything else in the image just due to how new and clean it looks compared to everything else. So I believed this image in particular portrayed great composition which I was rather satisfied with.

I decided to make this my final image as it had a lovely shine from the lights to the ropes on the ring and the cloth which I intentionally aimed at getting. I believe the disposition works really well since it’s at a low angle shot and centred, making the ring look huge and highly important within my scene, which is ideal as it is the most important factor to the whole gym.

The first ever 3D Design project that I worked on.
I was tasked with building an interior of business of a sort; through the modelling, texturing and rendering phase.
And so I chose to use a boxing gym, but an old school type which was looking slightly worse for wear over the years.
I believed this would give my gym some character, and make it distinctive amongst other projects that chose similar interiors to me as it would revolve a lot about the content and not just the technical skill, So I had more to work with.
