'Faisal Meets'

A client logo for a title page, to be seen on a musician's website and openings of his music videos.

 

This logo was rather tricky to think of, because I had knew so little about the artist and could only discover about him from one video where he sings briefly. So there was not much information to bounce ideas from, however I could see that:

 

- He is an up and coming artist

- Seemed to possess a very charasmatic and carefree spirit

- He is popular amongst his peers, and is well connected in his world of music.

 

So I came up with this design, that ended up receiving great feedback.

 

Influences & Breakdown

When thinking of the ideas for the design, there were 3 main elements I thought of.

 

He seemed very free spirited and with a bubbly personality, so my thoughts of trees came to mind; because his personality and charisma seemed very natural and could reach to others. Just like a tree, and it's roots.

 

I decided to have him climbing the tree too, to symbolise he is at the start of his steep journey, and he needs to climb to the top to make it to the top of his talent. Kids often climb trees as a fun challenge too, so I thought this would exemplify upon his care-free nature.

 

I transformed the top of the tree to a microphone too, to add onto this symbolism and keep the concept of music consistent within the design.

 

To top it off I illustrated musical notes at the bottom of the roots, to again keep the concept of music consistent, and show that he is branching himself out to the rest of the world through his work and his music.
