Help for Heroes Promotional Campaign

Brief

Tasked with promoting the charity 'Help for Heroes', by creating a strong campaign for them which would target itself towards 16-24 year olds.

'Help for Heroes' is a charity which looks to provide financial, physical and mental aid towards the brave soldiers of war.

A small group of three of us decided that the main idea and selling point of our campaign would be to develop a videogame for Help for Heroes, called 'Heroes We Stand'.

It will target itself towards 16-24 year olds, and use micro-transactions in order to get the donations across in the long run. This is how the campaign went...

Main Artefact

Here is a short trailer advertising the game 'Heroes We Stand'.

It is meant to illustrate the concept of the game being a First Person Shooter however taking a very realistic look and approach to it. By doing this we believed it could be more immersive to the audience, along with providing attractive aesthetics, excitement and drama to the viewer in that importance too.

The video was a real joy to shoot, and everybody had an amazing time getting into their roles and having fun whilst doing it. A great day leaving an everlasting and lovely memory with us.

Our video production team of this consisted of a duo:

Myself - Video editing and effects, sound effects, music compiler, and also the videographer too.

(I was wearing a hat with a camera ducktaped onto it, which provided the necessary FPS effect and proved to be somewhat cost effective too which was handy for us!)

Friend/ Colleague, Curtis Jagdev - Additional Video effects (he created the gun shot visuals and HUD graphics on the bottom right of the screen).

Menu Interface

This is an example of the menu interface when choosing the hero you decide to take along with you in your campaign. Each hero has their own campaign set out for them and each will take the player through a thrilling, touching and inspiring journey in telling their own stories of their life fighting within the military.

Posters & Wallpapers

These are promotional posters for the game that would be virally spread through the internet and the real world in order to raise the attention of our audiences. We used young models for the posters and game characters in order to attract our target audience more as they are within the same age ranges, and in this way our audience may even feel a slightly stronger connection towards the characters.

Here we designed the presentation of how the Smart Phone apps would look like for our campaign. This consists of an idea for a first person shooter game, a general thumbnail for the application, and how it could appear on your phone's interface.

User Interfaces

Banners

These are banners we created for our campaign. They will be displayed anywhere from billboards to ungerground stations, to even on your web browser as an ad. The first two you see towards the left will be animated, so as a GIF image it will move from one frame to the other after a few seconds.

The banner below will be a standard banner to be presented in particularly on the web, to promote the game.
