Deadpool... takes on... Deadpool... takes on... Vaas? (Featuring more Deadpool)
This animation was created in sole purpose of bringing an existing 3D character model to life, with the use of Motion Capture technology (Vicon Blade studio).
This was a lot of fun for me to work on as I have been getting the hang of 3D animation and had some brief experience of motion capture work with the previous project above.

Due to my love of videogames I believed it would be great to choose existing character models to work with and immerse together into a wild, bizarre yet fitting animation due to the nature of the characters presented (Deadpool and Vaas are both known for the wild and completely unpredictable nature).
The models may have been borrowed, however I still had to do all of the work when it came to animating them and getting them ready for animation, as well as the overall scene
Character models needed to be rigged and skinned properly to a skeleton, making sure the bones are detected and assigned along to the mesh. Needed to be weighted in order to get the shape of the mesh to react appropriately to the bones in the rig (muscles slightly bulge, parent classes are in effect etc).
Glad to say the project received 2 high A's, within the 2 section it was seperated into (Skinning, Rigging & Weighting, and the idea and execution of the animation), outscoring my other projects.
Below is a breakdown analysis video on what actually was involved in creating the animated production, and roughly what I did to create some of the effects you see.
I hope you find it to be both informative and enjoyable of a watch!
As shown in the ending of the video a sequel was to be made, however data of the production of most of it had been corrupted or lost and I'm working on restoring as much of it as possible.
Hope to have it back soon so I can work on it again, and hopefully provide an animation I can more proud of and help me grow as a multimedia artist and animator too.
