Personal logo design project focusing on branding a food & drink franchise.

The main purpose of designing this logo was to experiment with negative space visuals, as I had been personally studying designs of the type in my spare time.

I looked at several images for inspiration and stumbled upon an image of open handcuffs.

The word 'Escape' came to mind, and I figured I could link that to appetites and hunger ('Let your hunger run free').

I figured that within the image of the open cuffs somewhat looked a bit like hearts or even pincers. With further inspiration from a viral video of a crab fending for it's life with a knife; and then other funny internet sources, I was able to think of some ideas.

I then knew where I wanted to take the design from there...
